(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Pacers took a point guard in the second round, selecting Connecticut's AJ Price with the 52nd overall pick.
Price is 6 foot 2, 193 pounds and averaged almost 15 points and five assists per game as a senior.
He could be insurance for Indiana if free-agent-to-be Jarrett Jack does not re-sign.
Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague went with the 19th selection to Atlanta and Alabama Birmingham's Robert Vaden was taken by Charlotte at number 54.
Vaden's draft rights were later traded to Oklahoma City.
Both Teague and Vaden are Indianapolis natives who played at Pike High School.
