(RICHMOND, VA) - The IndyCar Series is at Richmond International Raceway this weekend for Saturday night’s SunTrust Indy Challenge.
Practice gets underway early this afternoon with qualifying scheduled to begin at 5:30 eastern time today.
Following time trials, there will be one more 30-minute practice session.
The 300-lap race is scheduled to begin at 8:45 Eastern Time tomorrow night.
Tony Kanaan was last year's pole and race winner.
Ryan Briscoe enters the weekend with a three-point lead over 2007 series champion Dario Franchitti in the driver's standings.
