Cubs Halt Two Game Skid With Win Over Pirates

(PITTSBURGH, PA) - The Chicago Cubs used a strong outing from Rich Harden to halt their two-game skid with a 3-1 win over the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

Harden allowed a run on nine hits over seven innings, striking out nine to improve to 5-4.

Andres Blanco put the Cubs on the board with an RBI single in the second and Ryan Theriot hit a solo homer in the third.

Milton Bradley made it 3-0 Cubs with an RBI double in the fourth before Jack Wilson drove home Pittsburgh's lone run with an RBI groundout in the fifth.

Zach Duke took the loss for the Pirates, allowing all three Chicago runs over seven innings to fall to 8-6.
