(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Van Pope drove home the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth as the Gwinnett Braves edged the Indianapolis Indians 6-5.

Clint Sammons homered and drove in two runs for the braves, who took three games in the four-game series.

Tribe starter Eric Hacker did not figure in the decision, but aided his cause at the plate by stroking a pair of doubles and driving in three runs.

Steve Pearce added a solo homer for Indianapolis, his eleventh of the season.

The Tribe opens an eight-game road trip tonight when they face the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
