Casey Blake's RBI groundout in the third made it 2-0 Dodgers.
Wolf pitched into the eighth, leaving the game when Chicago pinch-hitter Bobby Scales led off the inning with a solo home run to draw the Cubs to within a run.
Ramon Trancoso entered the game in relief and worked out of jams in the eighth and ninth innings to preserve the win and pick up his third save of the year.
