Two Colts Assistants Retiring

Last updated on Friday, May 15, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Colts Assistant Coaches Tom Moore and Howard Mudd have retired.

The two long-time coaches filed their retirement papers with the Colts on Thursday.

Both Moore and Mudd have been with the Colts since 1998, Jim Mora's first year as head coach, and were retained after Mora's firing following the 2001 season.

The 70-year-old Moore and the 67-year-old Mudd decided to retire due to a recent change in the NFL's pension plan.

Moore, the Colts' Offensive Coordinator, coached 32 years in the NFL with five different teams.

Mudd, the Colts' Offensive Line Coach, spent 35 years in the league as an assistant with six clubs.
