Scales Hits First Home Run As Cubs Win 6-2

(CHICAGO) - Milton Bradley hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the sixth as the Chicago Cubs defeated the San Diego Padres 6-2.

Adrian Gonzalez put the Padres up early with a two-run homer off Cubs starter Rich Harden in the top of the first.

Alfonso Soriano hit an RBI double in the fifth before Bradley's go-ahead blast one inning later.

Rookie Bobby Scales hit his first major league homer in the seventh and Soriano gave Chicago some insurance with an RBI single in the eighth.

Harden picked up the win to improve to 4 -1. Jake Peavy takes the loss, dropping to 2-5.
