(RICHMOND, VA) - NASCAR is at Richmond International Raceway this weekend for Saturday night’s Crown Royal 400 Sprint Cup race.
There will be two practice sessions this afternoon with qualifying scheduled to begin 5:45 eastern time. Clint Bowyer is the defending race winner.
Jeff Gordon entered last Sunday's race at Talladega with a sizeable points lead, but the former Pittsboro resident got caught up in a 14-car accident early in the race and finished 37th.
Gordon's poor finish dropped him to second in Sprint Cup points, five behind Kurt Busch.
