Harang Pitches Cincinnati Past Philadelphia, 4-1

Last updated on Thursday, May 21, 2009

(CINCINNATI) - Aaron Harang allowed a run over seven innings as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1 to snap a four-game losing streak.

Brandon Phillips had a two-run triple and drove in three while Ryan Hanigan hit a solo home run, his first of the season.

That was more than enough for Harang, who allowed four hits while striking out nine and walking two to even his record at 4-4.

Raul Ibanez drove in the Phillies' lone run with a solo homer in the fourth, his 14th round-tripper of the year.
