(PITTSBURGH) - Zach Duke survived giving up an Albert Pujols home run in the first and led the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals, snapping the Bucs' eight-game losing streak.

Following Pujols' 13th homer of the year, Duke tied the game with an RBI single in the second.

Nyjer Morgan followed with a two-run triple and Nate McLouth capped the four-run inning with another RBI single.

Pittsburgh scored twice more in the fifth on a solo homer from Adam LaRoche and a two-run blast by Brandon Moss.

Duke allowed four hits over eight innings to improve to 4-3. St. Louis starter Todd Wellemeyer took the loss to fall to 3-3.
