Cubs Drop Seventh Game In A Row

(SAN DIEGO) - The San Diego Padres capped the first 9-0 homestand in the 41-year history of the franchise by knocking off the Chicago Cubs 7-2, completing a sweep of the three-game series.

Chris Young allowed two runs over seven innings and drove in a pair of runs with a fifth inning single to get the win, improving to 4-2.

Kevin Kouzmanoff drove in four runs, capping the Padres' scoring with a three-run shot off reliever Aaron Heilman in the seventh.

Reed Johnson accounted for the Cubs' offense with a two-run shot off Young in the seventh.

Ted Lilly took the loss for Chicago to fall to 5-4. The Cubs have lost seven games in a row.
