(ARLINGTON, TX) - Hank Blalock hit a three-run home run off reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee and the Texas Rangers pounded the Cleveland Indians 9-1 in the season-opener for both teams.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia added a solo homer off Cleveland reliever Jensen Lewis and drove in three runs. Kevin Millwood was the beneficiary of the Rangers' offensive explosion. Millwood allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to pick up the win.
Lee gave up seven runs on ten hits in five innings of work to take the loss.
