Former Indian Coco Crisp drove in the first run of the game with an RBI triple and Buck's solo shot off Cleveland starter Carl Pavano in the fifth gave Kansas City the lead for good.

Buck would add a grand slam off Vinnie Chulk in the eighth to finish with five runs batted in.

Pavano allowed four runs on six hits over six innings to fall to 0-2 as the Indians drop to 1-7 on the season.
