Quentin, Dye Home Runs Put White Sox Over Seattle At The Cell

(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Quentin and Jermaine Dye hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the seventh to power the Chicago White Sox past the Seattle Mariners 6-3.

Quentin's shot off Seattle reliever Shawn Kelley put the Sox up 4-3. Dye touched up Kelley for another long ball four pitches later and Quentin would add an RBI single in the eighth.

AJ Pierzynski also went deep for Chicago, hitting a solo shot leading off the second to give the Sox the early lead.

Ken Griffey Junior hit a two-run double for the Mariners, who dropped two of three in the series.
