(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Purdue assistant women's basketball coach Jody Benner has resigned.

Benner has spent the past nine seasons on the staffs of current Boilermaker head coach Sharon Versyp while Versyp coached at Maine, Indiana and Purdue.

Benner was recruiting coordinator for the Boilers and also handled game scheduling while coaching Purdue's wing players.

She says she is resigning to seek other coaching opportunities. No replacement has been announced.

The Boilermakers were eliminated from the "Elite Eight" of the NCAA women's tournament by Oklahoma last Tuesday night.
