Penn State Ends Notre Dame's NIT Run

(NEW YORK, NY) - Notre Dame’s season is over as the Fighting Irish fell to Penn State 67-59 in the semifinals of the NIT.

Talor Battle led the Nittany Lions with 17 points with Andrew Jones the third chipping in with 16 points and 15 rebounds and Jamelle Cornley adding 15 points.

Luke Harangody was the only Notre Dame player to reach double-figures with 17 points and ten boards.

Tory Jackson and Kyle Mcalarney had nine points a piece as the Irish finish with a 21-15 record. Penn State will face Baylor in Thursday night's championship game.

The Bears knocked off San Diego State in the first semifinal.
