Last updated on Friday, April 10, 2009

(CHICAGO, IL) - Coco Crisp hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give the Kansas City Royals a 2-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Crisp broke a scoreless tie when he hammered the first pitch he saw from Chicago closer Bobby Jenks out of the ballpark.

The White Sox scored one run in the bottom of the ninth on a Jermaine Dye groundout. Neither starter figured in the decision.

Kansas City's Kyle Davies allowed three hits over seven shutout innings while John Danks pitched six scoreless innings, giving up three hits as well.

The Royals took two of three in the series.
