Last updated on Thursday, April 2, 2009

(CORAL GABLES, FL) - Indiana Miss Basketball Skylar Diggins of South Bend Washington scored 18 points, but it was not enough as the East lost to the West 69-68 at the McDonald’s All-American Girls Basketball Game.

Tierra Ruffin-Pratt scored ten points and grabbed ten rebounds for the west and shared co-MVP honors with Diggins.

Heritage Christian's Kelly Faris, who was runner-up to Diggins in Miss Basketball balloting, had a chance to tie the game with three free throws with one second remaining. She hit the first two but missed the third as the west pulled out the win.

Faris led the East with seven rebounds to go with four points.
