Duncan, Pujols, Molina Put Shots Past The Fence As Cards Whip Pirates 9-3

(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Chris Duncan and Albert Pujols hit two-run homers and Yadier Molina added a solo shot as the St. Louis Cardinals blasted the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-3.

Khalil Green hit a two-run double and Joe Thurston had a two-run single as the Redbirds roughed up Pirates starter Ian Snell.

Snell allowed eight runs, six earned, in four innings of work to take the loss. Kyle Lohse allowed two earned runs on five hits over seven innings to pick up the win.

Game three of the four-game series is scheduled for this evening.
