Columbus Clips Indians At Victory Field

Last updated on Thursday, April 16, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Jordan Brown homered and drove in two runs as the Columbus Clippers beat the Indianapolis Indians in the finale of their three-game series at Victory Field.

The tribe took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on consecutive triples by Andrew McCutcheon and Brian Bixler, but that is all they would get off David Huff and the rest of the Columbus pitching staff.

Huff allowed a run on five hits to improve to 2-0. Ty Taubenheim lasted just two innings in taking the loss for Indianapolis.

The Indians' nine-game homestand continues this evening as the Louisville Bats come to Victory Field for the start of a two-game series.
