(CLEVELAND, OH) - Brian Bannister and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout as the Kansas City Royals blanked the Cleveland Indians 2-0.

Bannister, who was recalled from AAA Omaha before the game, allowed four hits over six innings to pick up his first win of the season.

David Dejesus put KC on the board with a sacrifice fly in the first and Willie Bloomquist added an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single.

Cliff Lee took the loss for the Indians to fall to 1-3. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner allowed both Kansas City runs on nine hits in eight innings of work.
