Bulls Move Out Of Pacers' Reach, Pistons Still In Sights

Last updated on Wednesday, April 8, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Pacers are back in action this evening as they host the Toronto Raptors.

The Pacers are 33-44 and are still mathematically alive in the playoff chase.

They trail the Detroit Pistons by four games for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. The Chicago Bulls beat New York last night to move a half-game ahead of Detroit into seventh place in the east and out of reach of Indiana.

A Pacers loss or a Pistons win during the remainder of the season will knock the blue and gold out of the playoffs for the third-consecutive season.

The Pistons are in New York tonight to take on the Knicks.
