Auburn's Powers, Purdue's Painter Among Six New Horseshoes

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Colts selected six players on the final day of the NFL draft.

In the third round, the Colts took Auburn cornerback Jerraud Powers. The Horseshoes had two selections in round four, taking Brigham Young wide receiver Austin Collie followed by Michigan defensive tackle Terrance Taylor.

The Colts did not have another pick until round six, when they selected Purdue quarterback Curtis Painter. In round seven, the Colts traded up to take West Virginia punter and placekicker Pat McAfee and they wrapped up their draft by selecting Maryland guard Jamie Thomas.

On day one of the draft on Saturday, the Colts took Connecticut running back Donald Brown with the 27th overall pick and then traded up to get Southern California defensive tackle Fili Moala in round two.
