8 Runs In First 2 Innings Puts Cubs On Top Of Astros 11-6

(HOUSTON, TX) - The Chicago Cubs scored four runs in the first inning and four more in the second and held on for an 11-6 victory over the Houston Astros.

Mike Fontenot hit a three-run homer and drove in four with Aramis Ramirez going 4-for-6 with four RBI for the Cubs. Kosuke Fukudome added a solo homer as Chicago takes two of three in the series.

The Cubs needed the big lead as the pitching staff allowed five home runs, four off of starter Ted Lilly who still managed to get the win.

Ivan Rodriguez hit a two-run homer with Jeff Keppinger, Lance Berkman, Kaz Matsui and Hunter Pence adding solo shots for the Astros.
