(GREENSBORO, NC) - The Butler Bulldogs open their run in the NCAA Tournament this afternoon as they take on the LSU Tigers.
The Bulldogs are the regular season champions of the Horizon League, but needed an at-large bid to the tournament after losing to Cleveland State in the finals of the conference tournament.
The Tigers are in the same boat after winning the Southeastern Conference's west division but falling to Mississippi State in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.
Butler is in the big dance for the third-straight year and has played in the postseason eleven of the last 13 years.
The Tigers are back in the "big dance" after spending the past two seasons at home for the postseason.
