Purdue Squad Looking For Win At Ohio State

Last updated on Tuesday, February 3, 2009

(COLOMBUS, OHIO) - After losing their first two conference games, #12 Purdue will now try to complete their ascent back to the top of the league.

The Boilermakers (17-4, 6-2) take their six game Big Ten winning streak into Ohio State for tonight's 7pm tilt with the Buckeyes (15-5, 5-4).

With a win, Purdue will move into a first place tie with Michigan State. The Spartans were upset by Penn State on Sunday dropping their conference mark to 7-2.

Despite their hot play of late, Matt Painter's crew still finds themselves limping into Value City Arena. Guard Chris Kramer will play despite a broken nose, while sophomore forward Robbie Hummel, the pre-season conference pick for player of the year is nursing a fractured vertebrae in his lower back.
