Loss To Buckeyes Keeps Purdue Out Of First Place

(COLUMBUS, OH) - Jajuan Johnson’s 30 points Tuesday night were a career high. They just weren’t enough to overcome host Ohio State.

The Buckeyes, who got 24 points from Evan Turner knocked off #12 Purdue 80-72 in overtime Tuesday night.

The loss kept Purdue (17-5, 6-3) from moving into a first place tie with Michigan State atop the Big Ten. Guard Lewis Jackson missed a shot with three seconds left in regulation with the score tied at 64.

Ohio State (16-5, 6-4) opened the extra session on an 8-0 run.

Boliermaker Sophomore Robbie Hummel was cleared to play with a sore back, but never entered the game.
