Irish Make Up For Shaky Start, Beat Rutgers By Five

(SOUTH BEND) - Luke Harangody scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame to a 70-65 come-from-behind win over Rutgers at the Joyce Center.

The Scarlet Knights led by as many as ten points in the first half and held an eight-point advantage at intermission. Notre Dame opened the second half by going on an 11-2 run to get back into the game.

Tory Jackson added 18 points with Kyle McAlarney finishing with 13 for the Irish. Mike Rosario led Rutgers with 20 points as the Scarlet Knights lost their sixth game in a row to fall to 10-18, 1-14 in Big East play. Notre Dame improves to 16-11, 7-8 in the Big East.

They are at Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.
