(HOMESTEAD, FL) - Defending IndyCar Series Champion Scott Dixon was fastest on day one of open testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Dixon lapped the one and-a-half-mile oval at 211.372 miles per hour.
Ryan Briscoe, Dario Franchitti, Mario Morais and Will Power made the top five with laps in excess of 210 miles per hour.
Power is driving the number-three car in place of Helio Castroneves while Castroneves deals with federal tax evasion charges.
21 car driver combinations took to the speedway on Tuesday. The two-day test wraps up today.
