Cavs Coach Fined Following Pacers Win

Last updated on Friday, February 13, 2009

(UNDATED) - In NBA news, the league has fined Cleveland Cavaliers Coach Mike Brown $25,000 dollars for his remarks following the Cavaliers’ 96-95 loss to the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night in Indianapolis.

Brown criticized referee Joey Crawford for calling a foul on Cleveland's star forward Lebron James with one-tenth of a second remaining in the game.

Indiana's Danny Granger made the first of two free throws to give Indiana the win. Brown said that Crawford made a predetermined call against James, who had been the beneficiary of a similar foul called on Granger seconds earlier.

It is the first time Brown has been fined as a head coach.
