Last updated on Tuesday, January 6, 2009

(DENVER, CO) - Kenyon Martin scored 25 points with Chauncey Billups adding a double-double as the Denver Nuggets picked up their fourth win in a row with a 135-115 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Billups scored 13 of his 24 points in Denver's big fourth quarter, adding eleven assists. Denver outscored Indiana 38-23 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 21 points despite hurting his shooting hand in the third quarter.

Danny Granger led the Pacers with 36 points. Jarrett Jack added 17 points as he started in place of TJ Ford at point guard. Ford missed the game with a sore back.

Troy Murphy recorded a double-double with 15 points and twelve boards as Indiana sees its two-game winning streak halted. Marquis Daniels was limited to 12 minutes with a groin strain and scored just two points.

Denver improves to 24-and-12, matching the 1976-77 team for the franchise's best start after 36 games. The Pacers fall to 12-and-22.

The 135 points is the most a Pacer team has surrendered since they gave up 141 to Dallas in a double-overtime game in February, 2002. It's the most points they have given up in regulation since January of 1992 when Golden State scored 140 against the blue-and-gold.

The five-game western trip continues Wednesday when they go to Phoenix to play the Suns.
