O'Neal Likely To Sit Out Game At Fieldhouse

Last updated on Friday, January 16, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers host the Toronto Raptors tonight at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Pacers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 110-106 overtime win against Detroit on Wednesday. Danny Granger led Indiana with 24 points and ten rebounds with TJ Ford adding 23 points despite still being bothered by a sore back. The win lifted the blue-and-gold to 14-and-25 on the season.

The Raptors are 16-and-24 and have dropped their last three, including a 102-98 setback to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

Tonight's game was supposed to mark Jermaine O'Neal's return to the Fieldhouse after being traded by the Pacers to the Raptors for Ford last June. O'Neal has missed Toronto's last nine games with a sore right knee. He is listed as day-to-day but is not expected to play tonight.

It has been a season like many of those in recent years for O'Neal. He is second on the Raptors in scoring, averaging 14 points per game, but he has already missed twelve of Toronto's 40 games this season.

Chris Bosh is the Raptors' leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 23 and-a-half points and almost ten boards per game.
