(SOUTH BEND, IN) - The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will try to start another home court winning streak tonight as they host the tenth-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles.

The Irish saw their 45-game winning streak at the Joyce Center come to an end on Saturday night when Notre Dame lost to number-three Connecticut 69-61. It was the first home loss for the Fighting Irish since February of 2006 when Marquette defeated Notre Dame at the Joyce Center.

The Golden Eagles are 17-and-9, 6-and-0 in the Big East and enter tonight's game riding a nine-game winning streak. Saturday's loss dropped Notre Dame to 12-and-6, 3-and-4 in the conference

The Irish are in the midst of their first three-game losing streak since dropping five in a row in January and February of 2006.
