Tough Road For Pacers Continues This Weekend

Last updated on Friday, December 5, 2008

(CLEVELAND, OH) - The Indiana Pacers wind up a two-game road trip tonight as they face the central division-leading Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland.

The Pacers are 7-and-11 following their 114-96 loss to the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics Wednesday night in Boston.

Indiana will try to clamp down defensively after surrendering a season-high 31 points to Boston's Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo's first career triple-double on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers lead the central division and their 15-and-3 record is second only to the 18-and-2 Celtics in the eastern conference. Cleveland is led by Lebron James and his 27-point scoring average, which is second only to Miami's Dwyane Wade in the NBA.

Indiana's Danny Granger is sixth in the league in scoring at more than 24 points per contest.

Tonight's game is the second of four games between the Cavaliers and the Pacers this season and the final time Indiana will play in Cleveland this season.

The Cavaliers beat the pacers 111-107 back on November 7th at Quicken Loans Arena.
