Purdue Falls To Illinois In Overtime, 71-67

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Five Illinois players scored in double-figures as the Illini defeated the eleventh-ranked Purdue Boilermakers 71-67 in overtime at Mackey Arena.

Mike Tisdale led Illinois with 18 points before fouling out late in regulation. Mike Davis and Alex Legion added twelve points apiece for the 13-and-1 Illini.

E'Twaun Moore led Purdue with 17 points with Jajuan Johnson finishing with 16 points and 15 rebounds, but Johnson missed a chance to put the boilers ahead with 1.9 seconds in regulation when he missed the second of two free throws.

The Boilermakers had trouble from the foul line all night, missing twelve of their 27 attempts.

Purdue falls to 11-and-3. The Boilers are at Penn State next Tuesday night.
