IU Surges Ahead In Second Half, Defeats Cornell

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers returned home with a 72-57 win over Cornell.

Freshman Tom Pritchard netted a career-high 23 points to lead the Hoosiers with Nick Williams adding 18.

IU guard Verdell Jones was taken off the floor on a stretcher after a hard fall and transported to Bloomington Hospital. There was no evidence of serious injury and Jones was released early in the evening.

Ryan Wittman led the Big Red with a career-high 28 points. Wittman is the son of former IU guard and current NBA coach Randy Wittman.

The Hoosiers have won their last two games to improve to 4-and-2. They are off to Winston-Salem on Wednesday night to take on wake forest in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
