Fighting Irish, Boilermakers Fall In Coaches Polls

Last updated on Tuesday, December 16, 2008

(UNDATED) - Both the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Purdue Boilermakers dropped one spot in this week’s ESPN/USA Today men’s college basketball coaches’ poll.

The Irish fell from 13th to 14th following a seven-point win over Boston University last Saturday. The Boilers dropped from 17th to 18th following a blowout win over Ball State and a 14-point victory over Indiana State.

Notre Dame is off until Saturday when the Irish host Delaware State. The Boilers face number-20 Davidson in the Wooden Tradition Saturday in Indianapolis.

North Carolina remains the unanimous number-one in both the coaches' and media polls. The Tar Heels host the Evansville Purple Aces on Thursday night before taking on the Valparaiso Crusaders in the Windy City Hoops Classic at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday afternoon.
