Colts Prepare For Short Week

Last updated on Tuesday, December 16, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will hold their only full-scale practice of the week today as they prepare for their Thursday night game with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Colts are 10-and-4, winners of seven in a row and can clinch an AFC wild card berth with a win in Jacksonville.

A victory would lock in the number five seed in the playoffs for the Colts.

The Jaguars are 5-and-9 but did beat the Colts in Indianapolis 23-21 back in September. The Jags snapped a four-game losing streak with their home win over the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.

Colts Injury Report

Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy says safety Bob Sanders and linebacker Tyjuan Hagler could be back for Thursday night's game in Jacksonville. Sanders has been bothered by a balky right knee for much of the season and sat out last Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions. Hagler has also had a problem with his right knee and has missed the Colts' last two games.

Running back Joseph Addai is expected to play at Jacksonville while linebacker Gary Brackett is not expected back from his cracked fibula until the playoffs.

Dungy said that there were no significant injuries from the Detroit game, but that the short week makes the assorted bumps and bruises more difficult to deal with.
