(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts extended their winning streak to six games with a 35-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Peyton Manning completed 26-of-32 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns as the Bengals kept the game close until Manning hit Marvin Harrison on a five-yard scoring pass with 29 seconds left in the first half. The late score gave Indianapolis a 14-3 lead at halftime.
The defense took advantage of the lead, sacking Cincinnati quarterbacks five times. Bengals starter Ryan Fitzpatrick went down four times in the grasp of Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney. Mathis was credited with two and-a-half sacks while Freeney collected one and-a-half. The final sack came during the fourth quarter when Darrell Reid collected Cincinnati backup Jordan Palmer.
Indianapolis forced four Bengals turnovers with Kelvin Hayden picking off two passes, returning the second interception 85 yards for the final score of the game.
The Colts improve to 9-and-4 while the Bengals fall to 1-11-and-1. Indianapolis remains in control of its destiny as far as an AFC wild card berth is concerned.
The Tennessee Titans snapped the Colts' streak of five-straight AFC south titles with their win over Cleveland, clinching the division championship.
The 0-and-13 Detroit Lions come to Lucas Oil Stadium this Sunday afternoon.
