(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts overcame some sloppy play to get a 31-21 victory over the winless Detroit Lions Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Peyton Manning threw for 318 yards with a touchdown pass to Dallas Clark, who recorded a career-high twelve receptions for 142 yards. Dominic Rhodes added a pair of short touchdown runs as the Colts won their seventh game in a row to improve to 10-and-4.

Despite big days from the offense, a pair of fumbles by punt returner Keiwan Ratliff and some missed tackles on defense helped keep Detroit in the game.

Indianapolis never trailed, but saw its eleven-point lead at halftime dissolve to nothing early in the fourth quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Kevin Smith and a two-point conversion. The Colts came right back and re-took the lead on an 88-yard drive capped by Rhodes' second rushing touchdown of the day.

Following a Detroit punt, the horseshoes added an Adam Vinatieri field goal to make the final score 31-21 as the Lions fall to 0-and-14.

The Colts maintain their slight edge in the wild card race as several of their competitors for postseason berths also won on Sunday. They have a short week to prepare as they face the Jaguars in Jacksonville on Thursday night.
