Celtics Need Overtime To Defeat Pacers

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to twelve games with a 122-117 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers.

Ray Allen scored a season-high 35 points, including a three-pointer with seven and-a-half seconds remaining in regulation that forced overtime. Kevin Garnett added 17 points and 20 rebounds with Paul Pierce also scoring 17 for the 20-and-2 Celtics.

Marquis Daniels led Indiana with a season-high 26 points with Danny Granger adding 20.

Indiana had a couple of chances to win the game in regulation. Jarrett jack missed a jumper from the right corner with Garnett collecting the rebound with eight tenths of a second remaining. Rajon Rondo threw away the inbounds pass, giving the Pacers another shot, but Jack missed a jumper from almost the same spot as before and the game went to overtime.

The Pacers have lost three in a row to fall to 7-and-13. They open a four-game road trip on Wednesday night at Toronto.
