Last updated on Tuesday, December 9, 2008

(MUNCIE, IN) - Number-17 Purdue travels to Worthen Arena tonight to face the Ball State Cardinals.

The Boilers are coming off a 90-42 pounding of Arkansas-Pine Bluff last Saturday at Mackey Arena which moved Purdue to 6-and-2 on the season. The Cardinals are 4-and-3 and are coming off a loss at Evansville last Saturday night.

Ball state is led by senior forward Anthony Newell, who is the MAC West division player of the week.

Tonight's game is the ninth meeting between the two schools with Purdue holding a 6-2 lead in the series.

The Boilers could have Robbie Hummel back tonight. Hummel missed Saturday's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff with back spasms.
