Pacers Rest Up Following Impressive Win Over Celtics

Last updated on Monday, November 3, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have a couple of days to get ready for their Wednesday night game with the Phoenix Suns at Conseco Fieldhouse.

The Pacers evened their record at 1-and-1 with an impressive 95-79 win over the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics Saturday night at the Fieldhouse.

Danny Granger led the pacers with 20 points despite having his two front teeth knocked out in the fourth quarter while diving for a loose ball. It was Granger's first action since signing a contract extension on Friday.

Had the team not agreed to an extension with Granger before the weekend, the fourth-year pro out of New Mexico would have been eligible to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
