Six Pacers scored in double figures with Troy Murphy recording a double-double, scoring ten points while grabbing a season-high 19 rebounds.
Joe Johnson led the hawks with 25 points as Atlanta suffered its fourth loss in a row after winning its first six games of the season.
The pacers are off until Friday night when they host the first-place Orlando Magic.
