Colts Prepare For Sunday Matchup In Pittsburg

Last updated on Friday, November 7, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Practice continues for the Indianapolis Colts who are getting ready for a Sunday afternoon game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Colts are 4-and-4 and are coming off a key victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football last week.

The Steelers had a short week after beating the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Pittsburgh is 6-and-2 and holds a one-game lead over Baltimore in the AFC North.

Colts Injury Report

The Colts have added offensive tackle Ryan Diem to the injury report. Diem missed Thursday's practice with an ankle injury. The veteran right tackle has started all eight games for the Colts this season and has been an anchor on an offensive line that is just now getting healthy after being riddled with injuries early in the season.

Kelvin Hayden, Roy Hall and Tom Santi missed practice for a second-straight day on Thursday. Dwight Freeney, Tim Jennings, Robert Mathis and Reggie Wayne were back on the practice field after taking Wednesday off to rest while Bob Sanders was given his customary Thursday practice off.

Steelers Injury Report

Ben Roethlisberger sat out the Steelers' practice again on Thursday but says he wants to play Sunday against the Colts. Roethlisberger injured his throwing shoulder in week one of the regular season and aggravated the injury during Monday night's win over Washington.

Byron Leftwich replaced Roethlisberger at the start of the second half against the Redskins and has taken all of the offensive snaps with the first team in practice this week.
