(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) The Indianapolis Colts managed to run the ball in the second half and beat the Houston Texans 33-27 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts ranked last in the NFL in rushing offense entering the game, but Joseph Addai came up with his first 100-yard game of the year, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Addai also caught a touchdown pass from Peyton Manning as did Marvin Harrison, who surpassed former Cleveland hall-of-famer Jim Brown for ninth place on the all-time touchdowns list.
Indianapolis started sluggishly, trailing 13-9 at halftime.
The Colts scored on the first possession of the third quarter on Manning's 23-yard pass to Addai, but the defense promptly surrendered the lead when rookie Steve Slaton raced 71 yards to give the Texans the lead again at 20-16.
The Colts followed with the next two touchdowns, an Addai seven-yard run and Manning's ten-yard throw to Harrison.
Houston cut the Indianapolis lead to 30-27 on Ahman Green's second short touchdown before Adam Vinatieri hit his fourth field goal of the game to make it 33-27 colts.
Houston had a chance at the end, but Melvin Bullitt intercepted Sage Rosenfels in the final minute to clinch the win.
Manning finished with 320 yards passing and the two touchdown passes as the colts have won three straight to improve to 6-and-4.
They are in San Diego to face the Chargers on Sunday night.
