(GREEN BAY, WI) - The Green Bay Packers used solid defense and some Indianapolis mistakes to pound the Colts 34-14 at Lambeau Field.
The Colts had a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter when Green Bay took the lead for good on a twelve-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Donald Lee. It was the first of 31 unanswered points for the Pack, including a 66-yard interception return for a touchdown by Nick Collins and a 99-yard pick-six by Aaron Rouse.
The Colts appeared to return their mistake-prone form. They committed twelve penalties for 110 yards, many of them in critical situations erasing big plays on offense or keeping Packer drives alive on defense.
Green Bay won the turnover battle, returning the two Peyton Manning interceptions for touchdowns while the Colts defense did not take the ball away. Indianapolis winning the turnover battle was key in their comeback two weeks ago at Houston and in last Sunday's victory over Baltimore.
Adam Vinatieri also had a 45-yard field goal attempt blocked by Green Bay's Johnny Jolly.
Indianapolis drops to 3-and-3 while the Packers improve to 4-and-3. The Colts face the unbeaten Tennessee Titans next Monday night in Nashville.
