Pacers Look For Preseason Payback Against Hornets

Last updated on Tuesday, October 21, 2008

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - The Indiana Pacers open the final week of the preseason with a game tonight against the Hornets in New Orleans.

The Pacers are 3-and-3 in their exhibition games so far while the Hornets are 5-and-0, including a 105-71 pounding of Indiana at the Pepsi Coliseum on October 8th.

The Pacers spent Monday morning practicing in San Antonio, where they lost to the Spurs 106-98 on Saturday night, before heading on to New Orleans.

Mike Dunleavy did not play against the Spurs after making his preseason debut on Friday. Dunleavy's absence was said to be precautionary although he was limping noticeably in Friday's win over Memphis.

Troy Murphy played his first minutes of the preseason against San Antonio and is probable for tonight's game. Travis Diener remains out with a foot injury.

Following tonight's game, the Pacers head to Dallas for their exhibition finale with the Mavericks on Thursday night.

Indiana opens the regular season one week from Wednesday when they face the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
