Last updated on Tuesday, October 14, 2008

(MEMPHIS, TN) - OJ Mayo scored 26 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 103-95 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Rudy Gay finished with 16 points and Marc Gasol added 14 points and ten rebounds as all five starters for the Grizzlies reached double figures.

TJ Ford led Indiana with 18 points with Jarrett Jack and Roy Hibbert adding 17 points apiece for the Pacers, who fall to 1-and-2 in the preseason.

As was the case in the preseason opener, the third quarter proved to be Indiana's downfall. The Pacers held a 53-51 lead at halftime before being outscored 33-to-16 in the third.

Indiana was without three starters last night. Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy are expected back shortly after missing all of the preseason so far. Dunleavy has tendonitis in his right knee while Murphy has been nursing a sore left achilles.

Danny Granger missed his first preseason game last night with an elbow injury. Marquis Daniels, Maceo Baston and Travis Diener also missed Monday night's game while Eddie Jones, who was acquired in a trade with the Dallas Mavericks last Friday, has not reported to the Pacers.

The blue-and-gold return home to host the Mavericks and former Pacers coach Rick Carlisle on Wednesday night.
