Dungy Hopeful For Sanders Return To Colts Squad

Last updated on Wednesday, October 22, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts return to practice tomorrow as they begin preparing for their Monday night game with the Tennessee Titans.

The Colts have won five-straight AFC South championships, but find themselves three games behind the unbeaten Titans in the division. The Colts fell to 3-and-3 with a 34-14 loss at Green Bay. Tennessee ran its record to 6-and-0 with a 34-10 win in Kansas City.

The Colts should know more about their injured players when they return to the team's headquarters on Thursday. Starters Joseph Addai, Bob Sanders and Kelvin Hayden missed Sunday's loss to the Packers. Addai hurt a hamstring in their win over Baltimore two weeks ago.

Head coach Tony Dungy has not given a timetable for Addai's return, but there have been reports that he will miss two to four weeks with a partial tear of the hamstring.

Dungy was more positive about Sanders and Hayden, saying he is hopeful Sanders will practice this week and that Hayden has been running on his injured knee.

Sanders has been out with a high ankle sprain since before the bye week and had some arthroscopic knee surgery performed while the ankle is healing. Hayden hurt his knee at Houston three weeks ago.
